Dates: 10th to 12th January 2022
Venue: The Amber Springs Hotel, Gorey, Co. Wexford
Speaker: Mark Ellis
Mark doesn’t quite know who he is. He led teams working in student ministry for over a decade, firstly in Scotland and now as director of the Christian Unions Ireland. He is a Presbyterian minister, having pastored a church in Dundee and helped with a church plant in Malaysia. And for a dozen years with OMF, was involved in cross-cultural mission and media. He trained originally as a chartered accountant, grew up in Indonesia, and is overly dependent on coffee.
But in everything, Mark is convinced that God’s Word is made for people’s hearts. And that change happens when they see Jesus clearly and beautifully on every page so that they want to walk more closely with him. And that this enormously costly work of preparing and preaching – though often hidden and rarely thanked – is precious in God’s eyes and joyful service for us.
Mark is married to Joanne, who is overly dependent on tea, and they have three children at various stages of university or just beyond.
